WCF Rebirth Intro

Note: These results were lost, but these two matches were saved. I've redone the HTML and everything. The story is that two teams would face off in the War Games match, then the participants in the winning team would fight each other for the World Title. It was the first show of WCF v5.

War Games Match
Logan, Dake Ken, Reckless Jack, Twister, JX, Klubber Klabanski, Sylk Walker, Fugitive, and ??? vs PC Cradle, Epic, Neo, Outcast, Torture, Burn Out, Nate Nytro, Red Fusion, and Jon Michaels

I Shut Em Down fills the arena as pyro shoots out of the stage. Reckless Jack walks out with a determined look on his face and hate in his eyes. Once he gets in the ring he jumps up on the turnbuckle and raises his arms up to a pop.

Zach Davis: Looks like the first team chose Reckless Jack as their first wrestler. Not a bad idea, he's one tough mother.

Shannan Lerch: Shouldn't we give these teams names so that we know who we're talking about?

Zach Davis: Good idea. Reckless Jack's team will be known as Team 1. We'll make it easy.

Lights dim as Back to the Mad starts. A white silhouette is shown walking with a black background. During this sequence "Neo" scrolls by, also in black letters, which show only in the white silhouette. Red pyro blasts just as the heavy guitar riffs break out and Neo walks through the smoke that remains in the same manner as the silhouette on the screen. He takes off his sunglasses as the screen shows the same thing, only in a close-up of Neo's face. His red eyes gather the attention they need as a green "N" and a white "O" shade in. Once they do the screen goes black except the red eye on the right of the screen, shaping out the "O" in the wrestlers name. Various footage of Neo's matches are spliced in there. This goes on as Neo enters the ring and raises his arms for cheering crowds. He then throws his jacket to the referee and waits for the bell.

Shannan Lerch: And I'll guess Neo's team is Team 2?

Zach Davis: I was thinking Team Former Nazis.

Shannan Lerch: ...Team 2 it is.

Zach Davis: Well, Team 2 has selected Neo to come out first. A former World Champion himself, and insanely tough to boot. This should be good.

Neo and Jack approach each other cautiously and tie up. Neo puts Jack into a Side Headlock, Jack pushes Neo off, sending him into the ropes. Jack catches Neo as he's coming back and hits a Tiltawhirl Reverse Swinging DDT! The crowd pops for such a cool move so early in the match.

Shannan Lerch: Jack with the early advantage.

RJ begins climbing the turnbuckle, but right as he's ready to jump off Neo is to his feet. Neo punches Jack in the gut and climbs up to the top with him. He throws Jack's arm around his shoulder, and both men are standing... Neo delivers a Superplex! Both men lay on the mat for a few seconds, resting, before Neo stumbles to his feet.

Zach Davis: Until all men are in the ring, this match is very different from most others. You're not trying to pin your opponent, you're not trying to make him submit. You're just trying to beat him down and wear him out as much as you can.

Neo waits for Jack to get to his feet, standing behind him. He catches him and goes for a Side Slam, but Jack is able to reverse it into a Russian Legsweep. As both men are again laying on the mat, the buzzer goes off.

Shannan Lerch: Time for a new man... who'll it be?

AC/DC's TNT blasts over the speakers, and Twister runs to the cage to join the fray. He opens the cage door and slides into the ring.

Zach Davis: Team 1 now has the advantage with two of it's members in there.. Neo's in trouble.

Twister picks Neo up, and Neo goes to kick him. Twister catches the kick, and goes to hit a Dragonscrew Legwhip, but Neo is somehow able to roll through with it, land on his foot still, and then hits an Enziguri Kick! Twister drops down to the mat. Reckless Jack comes from behind and hits Neo with a few forearms to the back, but Neo elbows him in the back of the head. He then turns around and hits a beautiful Dropkick, sending Jack down to the mat right beside Twister.

Shannan Lerch: Hm, Neo taking care of himself just fine in there.

Neo kicks both men a few times before climbing up a turnbuckle. He looks around at the crowd for a few seconds before diving off, going for a Frogsplash onto both men!...

Zach Davis: Oh damn!

But, no, both Jack and Twister put their knees up! Neo flies right into them, and then rolls away, clutching his stomach. Twister and Neo both start kicking at him, and the buzzer goes off again...

Shannan Lerch: Neo needs someone from his team to make this fair..

Before I Forget by Slipknot plays, and Nate Nytro runs out.

Zach Davis: Well, this is interesting. Nytro is a former teammate of both Twister AND Neo. Remember Neo-Sporin, Shannan?

Shannan Lerch: Of course I do. I used some last week.

Nytro jumps onto the apron and then hits a Springboard Dropkick to Twister! Twister flies out of the ring. Nytro kicks Jack in the gut and throws him into a turnbuckle, Clotheslining him. He then looks outside the ring.. runs, and hits a Suicide Dive through the ropes, right into Twister! The crowd chants "WCF! WCF!" as Nytro groggily stands up. He picks up Twister and rolls him into the second ring, being used for the first time in this match.

Zach Davis: Let's see. We have Neo vs Reckless Jack in one ring, and Nate Nytro vs Twister in the other. Good stuff.

Nytro stomps on Twister as Neo gets to his feet in the other ring. Neo sees Jack in the turnbuckle and hits several elbows to the head before kneeing him in the gut as well. Jack slumps down in the corner. Neo runs back a few steps, runs forward again, and hits a Falling Dropkick! Jack falls down to the mat now, his eyes looking glazed.

Shannan Lerch: Ouch, to say the least.

Nate goes to pick Twister up, but Twister hits a quick Low Blow. Twister stands up and throws Nytro into the ropes.. he hits a big Spinebuster! He then falls back down to the mat, resting. The buzzer sounds.

Zach Davis: Next?

Overkill by Motorhead blasts, and Klubber Klabanski runs to the rings. He circles them a few times, wondering which one to enter, and eventually goes into the first, with Neo and Jack. He comes in behind Neo and grabs him, throwing him to the ropes, and follows up with a Big Boot to the face. He kicks Neo repeatedly.

Shannan Lerch: Neo's great at taking punishment and still being able to come back and kick ass.. he's proving right now why his team put him in first.

In Ring 2, Twister and Nytro are brawling back and forth. Twister goes for a Clothesline, Nytro ducks and catches him for the Book End. Twister elbows Nytro in the head a few times, switches behind him, and hits a Backdrop. He then kips up cockily, and the fans boo. He smirks.

Zach Davis: They can boo all they want, but he's getting the job done.

Twister turns to taunt the fans a few times, but in that time, Nytro is able to get to his feet. Twister turns to him and Nytro catches him in a Scoop Slam before applying an Armbar. The buzzer rings, and Stop F'n Wit Me plays. Sylk Walker runs out, and into Ring 1 with his tag team partner, Klabanski.

Shannan Lerch: Good strategy by Team 1, getting a Tag Team that's familiar with each other in there.

Zach Davis: They have a four to two man advantage now.

Reckless Jack rolls out of Ring 1 as the Steel Men begin working over Neo, and he heads to Ring 2. Jack kicks Nytro, who is still yanking on the Armbar, and Nate releases the hold. Jack picks Nytro up and sets him up in a Vertical Suplex position, spins... and hits a Spinning Brainbuster. Nytro hits the mat hard.

Shannan Lerch: Ouch. Great move by Reckless Jack.

Twister is up, and he and Jack hit a double Elbow Drop before starting to stomp on him. Meanwhile, in the other ring, Walker has Neo on his shoulders and Klabanski is on the turnbuckle...

Zach Davis: They're going for the Doomsday Device.. uh oh.

Klabanski flies off... Neo manages to move away in the nick of time, sending Klabanski to the ground. Neo then begins punching Walker's head a few times, slides behind him, and hits a huge Full Nelson Slam! He falls to the mat to rest as the buzzer goes off.

Shannan Lerch: Team 2 NEEDS someone right now.

God of Thunder plays and the crowd roars as Outcast makes his way from the back! He runs to the cage and gets in as fast as he can. He goes to Ring 2 and pulls Reckless Jack out. He punches Jack a few times and then begins slamming his head into the cag, over and over.

Zach Davis: My God, Outcast looks motivated as all hell.

Jack goes down, and Outcast pulls out the steel steps. He sets them up, and then pulls Jack onto them...

Shannan Lerch: We've seen Outcast do this before, he's-

Before Shannan can finish, Outcast DDT's Jack onto the stairs! The crowd ooh's as Jack slumps lifelessly to the ground. Meanwhile, in Ring 2, Twister and Nytro are brawling with one another. Nytro has Twister in the corner, but Twister grabs him and switches around. Twister starts slapping Nate in the face, adding insult to injury. Nate is obviously pissed and goes for a huge Clothesline but Twister ducks it, spins Nate around, and hits an Eye Poke. The crowd boos and Twister loves it. He then hits the Dynamite Twist!

Zach Davis: And that might be the end of Nytro as we know him.

Shannan Lerch: The end of the Nitro I knew was in 2001. Sigh. RIP WCW.

Zach Davis: Who needs WCW when we have WCF? Get with the times.

Shannan Lerch: Good point.

The buzzer rings, and it's time for someone new. Bad to the Bone plays, and that means it's time for Burn Out! He runs to the cage, enters, and goes right for Ring 1 with Neo.

Zach Davis: The teams are evened up now.. Good choice bringing a big man like Burn Out into the match.

The Steel Men have gotten the advantage on Neo, and both are kicking him in a corner. Burn Out yells, and Klabanski turns around. Burn Out runs at him and hits the Clothesline From Hell! Klabanski goes down. Burn Out then goes and hits Walker a few times, but Walker is soon able to fight back, throwing lefts and rights. Burn Out fights back as well, and the two men are soon brawling back and forth. Burn Out soon gets the advantage, and throws Walker to the ropes. He goes for a Big Boot, but walker sidesteps it, runs to the other side of the ring, and hits a Running Armdrag. Burn Out is to his feet immediately, and Walker hits him with a Cradle Gutbuster Drop.

Shannan Lerch: Walker with a good move.. but look out for Neo!

Neo comes from behind and tackles Walker to the ground. He gets on top of him and is about to unleash a fury of punches before Klabanski is there to pull him off. Klabanski picks him up and puts him in a Bear Hug as the buzzer rings.

Zach Davis: Team 2 has yet to have the numbers advantage in this match, is it their turn yet? Will they even have a turn?

Getting Away With Murder plays, and WCF newcomer Red Fusion comes down. He circles around the rings, trying to decide which one to enter. He eventually rolls in with Twister and Nytro. Twister is stomping on Nytro, and Fusion grabs him from behind and hits a huge Edgecutor!

Shannan Lerch: Red Fusion, making an impact already. And his team now has the advantage, let's see if they can capitalize.

Fusion kicks Twister a few times before going to the top rope. He raises his arms in the air, and as he does, he notices that Nate Nytro is also up, and climbing the turnbuckle opposite him. As soon as both men are ready, Fusion flies off with a Fusion Bomb, and only seconds later, Nytro hits his InspYration!

Zach Davis: Well.. sucks for Twister, if I do say so myself.

Outside the ring, Outcast and Reckless Jack are still brawling. Jack has slowly been fighting to gain momentum back, but Outcast goes for a huge Clothesline... Reckless Jack ducks it, spins Outcast around, and hits a Diamond Cutter to Reverse DDT, right on the outside! He slowly gets up afterwards and begins kicking Outcast slowly, placing his shots carefully.

Shannan Lerch: And there's the buzzer, time for another man.

800 by Saliva plays, and Fugitive is the next man out, evening up the teams once again. He enters Ring 1, where Neo and Burn Out are fighting with Klabanski and Walker. Fugitive attacks Neo from behind, sending forearms over his back, turns him around and hits a huge Belly to Belly, sending him over the top rope! He lands hard outside. This leaves Burn Out to fend off three men.

Zach Davis: Burn Out in trouble over there...

All three of Burn Out's enemies approach him, and he's ready to fight. But Fugitive is hit with a Missile Dropkick to the head!

Shannan Lerch: Did you see that? Nate Nytro hit a Missile Dropkick, from one ring to the other!

The Steel Men turn and start to pound away at Nytro, but Burn Out grabs Klabanski and throws him to the ropes before hitting a huge Powerslam! Nytro kicks away at Walker. Reckless Jack has just reentered Ring 2, and is helping Twister beat down Fusion. Outcast soon rolls in as well, and grabs Twister, throwing him into the turnbuckle. He punches him a few times before running backwards a few steps, and then going for the Sick Twist! Twister sidesteps it in the nick of time, however.. goes for a DDT.. but Outcast is able to outpower him and reverses it into a Northern Lights Suplex!

Zach Davis: Good move by Outcast, but it's time for a new man...

The Struggle Within by Metallica blasts, and the crowd boos immediately as Logan strolls out from the back.

Shannan Lerch: He's been called "the biggest heel in WCF history," and he's entered War Games.

Logan enters the cage and strolls around the rings casually, trying to decide where to enter. He instead decides to pick up Neo, who was just getting up on the outside, and slams his head into the cage repeatedly. Neo's soon bleeding.

Zach Davis: Neo's tough as nails, he can take it, but he needs to mount some offense!

Neo is eventually able to block Logan, and grabs Logan's head, throwing him into the cage! The crowd roars as Neo begins unloading on Logan, kicking him in the gut over and over. He kicks Logan in the stomach again and hits a big Double Arm DDT!

Shannan Lerch: Haha! Take that, Loogie.

Zach Davis: He's winning this match for you, remember, Shannan?

Shannan Lerch: Oops.

Neo picks Logan up after kicking him a few times, and goes to throw him into the outside turnbuckle.. but Logan is able to stop himself and uses Neo's momentum to throw Neo into it instead! Neo hits his shoulder hard and holds it in pain. Logan grabs him from behind and hits a big German Suplex.. but Neo flips over, and lands on his feet. Neo goes for Clothesline, Logan ducks it.. Logan hits an Evenflow DDT.

Zach Davis: Neo's down for now.. but certainly not out.

Logan rolls into Ring 2, and goes right for Outcast. Those two brawl. In Ring 1, meanwhile, Nytro hits a Back to Back Suplex on Walker, but keeps it locked in.. he hits another Suplex.. keeps it locked in.. he's about to hit a third, but Fugitive kicks him and he lets go. Fugitive grabs him and hits a big Swinging Neckbreaker. The buzzer goes off, and new participant time... Wanna Be A Rock Superstar? hits.

Shannan Lerch: The Tort, the Tort!

Torture runs out from the back and goes right for Ring 1. He hits a big Clothesline From Hell on Fugitive, who goes down. Torture begins punching him repeatedly. Tort soon gets up and raises his arms quickly, the crowd pops. Fugitive is up, and Torture knees him in the stomach before hitting a big Pumphandle Slam.

Zach Davis: Torture, kicking ass and taking names.

Shannan Lerch: Torture's torturing him, you might say.

Zach Davis: That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

In Ring 2, Outcast has Logan in a corner, and is stomping him. Jack and Twister are fighting Fusion. Jack and Twist go for a Linked Clothesline, but Fusion ducks it and hits a Double Bulldog, sending both men to the ground. Neo is up now, and he rolls into Ring 2. He begins wearily stomping on Twister as the buzzer buzzes.

Shannan Lerch: Dun dun dunnnn..

Welcome to the Jungle plays, and J-X is next to enter. JX comes in and slides into Ring 2. He stops Neo from attacking Twister, grabbing him and poking him in the eye. JX then picks Neo up for a Stalling Suplex.. but as he leaves him hanging, Outcast kicks JX in the gut. Neo slides down behind JX and hits a big Reverse DDT. Reckless Jack and Logan are both kicking away at Neo, before both men are Clotheslined down by Outcast. Outcast starts stomping away at Logan, and Red Fusion attacks Jack.

Zach Davis: So.. many.. men.. hard to keep track of things.

In the other ring, the Steel Men have taken control of Nate Nytro. They hit the Shoulder Mount Suplex and Top Rope DDT combination on him, and afterwards he rolls out of the ring, in pain. Klabanski and Walker then approach Torture, but before they can Burn Out grabs both of them.. he goes for a Double Chokeslam, but Walker kicks him in the gut. The Steel Men then execute a quick Double Suplex.

Shannan Lerch: Amazing power by Burn Out, and there's the buzzer. New man time.

Wishbone by Dropbox plays, and the crowd cheers as Epic runs out from the back! The last War winner quickly enters the cage and rolls right into Ring 1. Fugitive goes to attack him, but Epic kicks him and then throws him to the ropes.. Spear! Both Steel Men approach him, and he hits a quick Super Kick, sending Walker down, followed by catching Klabanski in a Powerslam!

Zach Davis: Look at Epic go!

Torture and Burn Out go to stomping their opponents, as does Epic. In Ring 2, Neo has just an Ogoshi on JX. Out of nowhere, Nate Nytro is on the top rope, and he flies down with his InspYration move once again!

Shannan Lerch: Ha, Neo-Sporin working as a team. Good stuff.

Logan has thrown Outcast into the corner now, and is hitting Knife Edge Chop after Knife Edge Chop. He runs back, and runs at Outcast... but Fusion catches him in a Sleeper Hold and then follows up with a Sleeper Slam.

Zach Davis: Oof, Logan goes down hard.

Shannan Lerch: Buzzer time.

Megadeth's Into the Lungs of Hell plays, and Dake Ken steps out from the back.

Zach Davis: Former member of The Elite.. former Tag Champion.. former Television Champion.. is tonight his night?

He enters the cage and goes into Ring 1. Epic goes right for him, and the two men begin brawling instantly, back and forth with no one gaining an advantage.

Shannan Lerch: Two of WCF's brightest superstars fighting it out! Epic and Dake Ken!

Dake Ken gains the advantage. He goes to irish whip Epic, but pulls him back in and executes a big Belly to Belly Suplex. He stomps Epic a few times before turning to Burn Out. He throws Burn Out to the ropes and then hits a Sidewalk Slam. Right afterwards, Torture runs at him and hits a Cross Bodyblock, sending him down. Torture mounts Dake and hits several punches, one after another, before Fugitive pulls him off. Fugitive holds Torture while Dake gets up and carefully picks his shots. Torture is eventually able to jump up and kick Dake away, before hitting a Stunner on Fugitive! Dake runs at Torture, but Tort kicks him and follows up with a big DDT.

Zach Davis: Great move by Torture.

In Ring 2, Red Fusion and Outcast are beating down Logan. Jack has been thrown on the outside, and Neo and Nytro are brawling with Twister and JX. Outcast picks Logan up and Piledrives him to the mat as Red Fusion flies off the top with a Fusion Bomb!

Shannan Lerch: Logan, getting his ass kicked. But it's time for a new man.

Enter Sandman plays, and Jon Michaels enters the arena. He walks to the cage, enters, and joins Ring 1.

Zach Davis: He's neither a sexy boy, nor your boy toy. He's JON Michaels.

Shannan Lerch: Both teams have one more man to enter. We know PC Cradle is left... but we don't know who is filling in for Frost.

Jon Michaels runs at Klabanski and Walker, going for a Double Clothesline. Both men duck, turn, and kick him in the gut. They jump back a bit and hit a Double Thrust Kick! Michaels goes down and rolls out of the ring.

Zach Davis: Didn't see much from him.

Back in Ring 2, Neo and Nytro have Twister down and they're working over JX. They have him in a corner, punching him, and they go to whip him to the other side. He reverses it, sending both of them flying instead. He then runs at them and hits a big Double Lariat, sending both men down. JX then turns to Outcast, but Outcast is ready for him and hits a quick Neckbreaker. Jack rolls back into the ring and yells for Outcast to turn around. He does, and Jack runs at him and hits a Shining Wizard.

Shannan Lerch: Shining Wizard by Reckless Jack.. I wonder how it got that name.

Buzzer goes off, and Get to the Gone by Static X blasts over the PA system. The crowd erupts as PC Cradle runs out from the back! He quickly enters the cage and rolls into Ring 2.

Zach Davis: Here he is, the last WCF World Champion, PC Cradle!

Jack runs at Cradle and Cradle Clotheslines him down. Twister and JX go for him next, but he sidesteps them and tosses them both out of th ring. This leaves Logan. Cradle and Logan stare each other down for a brief moment before both men begin unloading on one another! Lefts and rights from Cradle, lefts and rights from Logan! Both men are giving it their all, and Cradle soon knees Logan in the gut. He then steps back a bit into the ropes, bounces, and hits the Decapitator! Logan goes down, clutching his throat, and Cradle raises his arms to a huge ovation.

Shannan Lerch: He's the man. But does he have what it takes to win this? Once the next participant enters, it's time for someone to end the match.

Back in Ring 1, Fugitive has Burn Out in a corner and Torture is fighting with the Steel Men. Dake Ken has Epic on the mat in a Grapevine Leglock. Fugitive pounds away at Burn Out. He lifts him up slowly onto the turnbuckle and climbs up with him... he executes a big Hurricanrana! Burn Out goes down to the mat and Fugitive follows up by jumping to the top rope and hitting a quick Moonsault. Epic has gotten out of Dake Ken's Leglock, and is getting to his feet. Dake goes for a Clothesline but Epic ducks it and hits a huge Spinebuster. The buzzer goes off.

Zach Davis: The last man.. who will it be?

No music plays. No one comes out.

Shannan Lerch: Maybe we never found a replacement for Frost.. sucks for that team.

Epic had been looking towards the entrance, but he turns around. He is met with a HUGE chairshot from..

Zach Davis: Seth Lerch? I didn't even see him get in the ring!

The crowd boos as Lerch has laid Epic out. He raises his chair in the air and then rolls out of that ring. He quickly slides into Ring 2, runs.. and wacks PC Cradle in the back with it as well! Cradle doesn't go down on the first shot, so Seth hits him again. Still, he doesn't go down. He hits Cradle one more time, and this time he falls. Lerch turns around and is face to face with Logan.

Shannan Lerch: Eh oh.

Even though Seth is on his team, Logan's hatred for him is obvious through his eyes. Seth, looking quite frightened, simply rolls out of the ring and exits the cage, heading to the back.

Zach Davis: I guess Seth has taken himself out of this match... but alright, it's anyone's game now!

In Ring 1, Burn Out has just Clotheslined Klabanski and Walker over the top rope, diving out with them. Fugitive and Torture are brawling. Dake Ken goes to pick Epic up, and positions him for his Under the Influence finisher... Epic elbows him in the head a few times.. EPIC FALLS OUT OF NOWHERE!

Shannan Lerch: It's over!

Epic pins Dake!

Zach Davis: Wait, hey, where's the ref?!

Fugitive had just pushed Torture into the ref, and he's laid out. The crowd counts for him.. "ONE, TWO, THREE!"

Shannan Lerch: Well, the crowd isn't the referee. This match will continue.

Epic stands up, none too happy, and tries to revive the ref. Meanwhile, in the other ring, Twister and JX have been brawling with Neo and Outcast, and they spill to the outside. Cradle has slowly regained himself, and is fighting with Logan, tooth and nail. Reckless Jack is brawling with both Fusion and Nate Nytro. He kicks Fusion in the gut and throws him out of the ring, leaving just Nytro. He turns around to Nate, and Nate grabs his throat. He picks him up for a Chokeslam, but Reckless Jack is somehow able to reverse it into a Hurricanrana pin!

Zach Davis: Wait, look, in Ring 1.. Epic is pinning Dake, the ref is up this time...

Ref 2: 1!

Ref 1: 1!

Ref 2: 2!

Ref 1: 2!

Ref 2: 3!

Ref 1: 3!

Shannan Lerch: Well, eh oh. Epic has pinned Dake Ken, but Reckless Jack has pinned Nate Nytro.

Both refs call for the bell, and both Epic and Reckless Jack stand up, thinking they're victorious. There's confusion among everyone.

Zach Davis: I... I don't know. This is a mess.

Master of Puppets plays, and Seth Lerch walks out. Epic looks towards the entrance, surprised.

Seth Lerch: What is this? A big match ending in controversy!? There's something new. Alright, let's roll the footage on the Jumbotron so everyone can see what exactly happened.

The footage rolls, showing both Epic and Jack scoring pinfalls. Neither official knows for sure what to call.

Seth Lerch: This decision is up to me, and me alone. The truth of the matter is this... Reckless Jack's three count came RIGHT before yours, Epic. So the only fair and correct thing to do is to award this match to Jack's team!

The crowd boos like nobodies business. Epic takes a mic.

Epic: Lerch, that's bull! Not only did you come in and hit me with a chair, you're screwing me out of my World Title shot? I pinned someone from the other team, I deserve a Title shot! Bottom line!

Seth Lerch: Sorry, buddy, but you didn't do it in time. A few seconds earlier and you'd have the match won. Too bad.

Epic: Well.. since that team is technically YOUR team, Lerch, you gonna compete in this World Title match?

Seth Lerch: No, no, I'm not interested in any World Title. I just came into this match to screw with you and Cradle.

Epic: Well then, by my count, this World Title match is one man short, correct?

Seth Lerch: ...Correct... Where are you going with this?

Epic: Well, Lerch, you have a few options. You can do the right thing and put me in the World Title match to take your place for your team. Or you could NOT do that, keep me out of the match, and have a very unhappy Epic on your hands. Which do you want?

Lerch looks angry, and thinks about it for a few seconds...

Seth Lerch: Egh.. ugh.. FINE! Fine, Epic! You can be in the match, it's not going to make any difference! You'll just get beat!

Epic smiles to himself. Master of Puppets plays as Seth leaves, and the members of the losing team begin leaving as well. A few shout words of encouragement to Epic.

Zach Davis: Well... I think that was solved nicely.

Shannan Lerch: Yes, that's my brother, fair as always.

Zach Davis: Or after he's intimidated into being fair, at least.

Shannan Lerch: At any rate.. World Title match!

Rebirth World Title Battle Royal
Logan vs Dake Ken vs Reckless Jack vs Twister vs JX vs Klubber Klabanski vs Sylk Walker vs Fugitive vs Epic

The bell rings, signalling the start of the match, and all hell erupts. Klabanski and Walker continue to work together, and start beating away at Fugitive. Reckless Jack goes right to the attack on Epic, seemingly pissed about what happened at the end of the War Games match. JX and Twister attack Logan.

Zach Davis: Anyone's match. And remember, it's elimination now. Most of these men are pretty tired, I'm sure.

Dake Ken grabs Sylk Walker's leg from behind, looking to trip him. Sylk hops a few times before turning around and hitting a big Enziguri Kick. He then picks Dake up and hits a big Tear Drop Suplex! He quickly pins, hooking the leg. One... two.... three.

Shannan Lerch: Our first elimination has to be one of the favorites in this match, Dake Ken.

Dake rolls out of the ring as the others continue fighting. But Twister and JX have started to join Reckless Jack in beating down Epic. In fact, Fugitive joins too, and now Epic is doing his best to fight against four men. Logan watches, laughing.

Zach Davis: It looks to me like everyone has ganged up on Epic because of how he got into this match. that's not really fair, I think he deserved to be in here.

Klubber Klabanski and Sylk Walker look at each other, and are about to join in beating down Epic.. but, no, they start throwing men away from him! Epic's up, and he and the Steel Men begin fighting off the others.

Shannan Lerch: The Steel Men said they'd have an impact on who won the match tonight, and it looks like they were right. They're doing the right thing and helping Epic!

It's soon too much, as Logan joins in and starts attacking Epic as well. It's five against three, with Logan beating down Epic, Twister and JX fighting Walker, and Jack and Fugitive fighting Klabanski. Walker is able to fight back soon, hitting punches against his opponents, and hits a big Double DDT. He kicks away at Twister and JX, and picks JX up, throwing him to the ropes.. Powerslam Overhead Press! He pins. One... two... three.

Zach Davis: Another elimination.

Shannan Lerch: Yeah, these men are definitely exhausted. It's not going to take much for eliminations.

Walker isn't fairing as well against Jack and Fugitive. Jack picks him up, he's going for the Reckless Killing!.. but Walker somehow slides behind his back and Dropkicks him. Walker then ducks a Clothesline from Fugitive, and goes for a Tear Drop Suplex.. but Fugitive powers out of it, jumps back a few steps, and hits the Death Sentence. He then jumps to the top rope while Reckless Jack kicks away at Walker.. Death Row! The ref makes another count.. One, two, three.. another elimination.

Zach Davis: The Natural is gone, leaving one half of the Steel Men in the ring.

Epic and Logan's battle has moved to the outside. Logan's banging Epic's head repeatedly against the steel cage surrounding the ring. He then grabs it and rubs it against the metal, and Epic is busted open good. Logan pulls Epic back a few steps, and then throws him hard into the cage. Epic falls, clutching his back, and Logan stomps away.

Shannan Lerch: Logan, brutalizing Epic.. ouch.

In the ring, Klabanski is doing his best to fight off three men, but not to much avail. Twister runs at him and he kicks him away. Reckless Jack and Fugitive also run at him, from opposite sides.. but just as they're about to hit, Klabanski ducks, and Fugitive and Jack collide right into each other! Twister is up and Klabanski is behind him. He goes for the Shoulder Mounted Crossed Arms Suplex, and bridges for the pin. One.. two... three.

Zach Davis: Twister's gone.

Jack and Fugitive have regained their senses, and both start kicking mercilessly at Klabanski. He drops to the ground and rolls out of the ring, leaving just Jack and Fugitive inside. Jack takes this opportunity to turn on Fugitive and kicks him in the gut, and hits a quick Powerbomb to X-Factor. He then runs to the ropes, slides under, and hits a big Springboard Shooting Star Press into pin! One. Two. Three.

Shannan Lerch: And yet ANOTHER elimination. I believe we're down to our final four.

Zach Davis: Logan, Reckless Jack, Klubber Klabanski, and Epic.

Epic and Logan have reentered the ring, as has Klabanski. Logan hits a big Brainbuster on Epic, and then goes to attacking Klabanski, along with Jack. They kick him a few times and Logan tells Jack to throw him into the turnbuckle. Jack does, and Logan hits the Impact Style! He lets Jack make the pin. One.. two... three.

Shannan Lerch: That sure was nice of Logan, letting Jack pin him-

As soon as Jack stands up, Logan is behind him and wraps him in a Sleeper Hold... and follows up with hitting The Connector!

Shannan Lerch: Oh, nevermind. He IS the Face of Treachery, after all.

Another pin... and another elimination.

Zach Davis: And we're down to the final two. Logan vs Epic.

Logan smiles to himself, turning around to Epic, thinking he has the match won. But Epic is up! Epic kicks Logan and hits The Crippler!

Shannan Lerch: EPIC HAS IT WON!

Epic makes the pin!

No! Logan kicks out!

Zach Davis: Guess not. This reminds me of the tension in that last War match when it came down to Epic and Trent Hunter.

Epic looks pissed, and picks Logan up. He starts setting him up for the Epic Falls, but Logan is somehow able to get out of it, and throws Epic out of the ring again. As Epic stands up, Logan hits a Baseball Slide, sending Epic crashing into the cage. Logan rolls out of the ring and picks up Epic, pulling him towards the cage door.

Shannan Lerch: I don't like where this is going.

Once he's close to it, Logan goes to throw Epic through the door, but Epic stops himself and throws Logan into it instead. Logan crashes to the outside of the cage, and Epic follows him out. He stomps Logan a few times before looking upwards... and begins climbing the cage.

Zach Davis: Epic is climbing to the top.. literally.

Shannan Lerch: Remember though, Logan'll do.. what he has to do.. to get to the TOP!

Zach Davis: Yeah yeah, I remember the catchphrase.

As soon as Epic's midway up, Logan begins climbing up as well. Epic makes it to the very top, and then turns around to see Logan coming up.

Shannan Lerch: Epic could just kick Logan down.. but look, he's waiting for him to come up! Epic wants to go!

Logan makes it to the top, runs at Epic, and tackles him down. The two begin throwing fists at each other like nobodies business. Eventually they make it to their feet and Logan swings, going for a big punch, but Epic ducks it.. kicks him in the gut.. he's in position for the Epic Falls!.. no, Logan breaks free.. switches behind, locks in the Sleeper, going for the Connector!.. Epic elbows him, breaks free.. goes for a short Superkick, Logan ducks, Logan goes for the Impact Style but Epic moves out of the way.. Epic quickly catches Logan.. EPIC FALLS!

Logan crashes down to the mat and the crowd is on it's feet as chants of "HOLY SHIT!" ring out through the arena. Epic looks down for a second, shocked, before climbing down into the ring. He quickly pins Logan, hooking the leg...

The crowd roars as the ref hands Epic the Title. He climbs a turnbuckle and raises it in the air, having finally accomplished his goal.

Zach Davis: Epic's been in the WCF for as long as anyone.. a former International Champion, Television Champion under the name Kojima, and now, at long last.. World Champion.

Epic drops down and heads to the opposite turnbuckle to raise the Title in the air. When he drops down and turns around, he's face to face with Logan.

Shannan Lerch: How is Logan up? That's incredible.. but uh oh, what's going to go down here?

Epic looks Logan in the eyes... and Logan outstretches his hand. Epic looks at it for a second before shaking it.

Zach Davis: Here it comes.. CONNECTOR.

But, no, Zach was wrong. Logan simply lets go of Epic's hand and rolls out of the ring, somehow leaving on his own after his huge fall from the cage.

Shannan Lerch: Well fans, that's all for tonight, see you at Slam!
