Logan Segment

Cameras hit backstage to the front entrance of the arena. A fatigued Logan falls through the doors gasping for air.

Logan: What the fu..

Dropping two bags he was carrying, they hit the floor, along with Logan himself.

Zach Davis: Did he pass out?

Shannan Lerch: EMTS! EMTS!

Slam Intro

The Sun Smells Too Loud by Mogwai plays as the Slam jumbotron lights up and the very first edition of Slam on Monday is on the air! We go to Zach Davis and Shannan Lerch.

Zach Davis: This feels weird working on a Monday night, but welcome to Slam! As for those of you who usually watch Raw-

Shannan Lerch: Don't bother. Spoiler: Cena wins.

Zach Davis: Bold prediction there, Shannan. But yes, we're now going head to head with another wrestling program. I can't help but think Gravedigger and the Dark Side had a lot to do with that...

Shannan Lerch: Regardless, even if Gravedigger expects everyone to watch some other show instead, I think they'll be tuning in tonight because we have an awesome main event. Corey Black against Torture.

Zach Davis: And I know you always like to see Corey Black get hurt, so you're happy to know, I'm sure, that it is inside a steel cage!

Shannan Lerch: Last week Torture and Black fought to a no contest, so they're both out for blood this week. Well, okay, more blood, anyway.

Zach Davis: And again, I have to expect that Gravedigger is behind this. He faces them in a World Title match very, very soon, and I'm sure he loved watching them kick the crap out of each other.

Shannan Lerch: Speaking of the Dark Side, we have Chester and Dobbie up against Prince Jimmy Dean and Chad Evans. Chester and Dobbie attacked them last week, although Jimmy Dean and Chad Evans have also been booked against one another for our Rebirth PPV, so we'll see how this goes and if they can put aside their differences against a common enemy.

Zach Davis: And in our opening match, we have a triple threat. Thunder versus Logan vs Brad Kane.

Shannan Lerch: We also know that Thunder and Brad Kane are going to fight at Rebirth for the United States Title, a Title that Logan actually helped put on the map, and Logan will be facing a mystery opponent.

Zach Davis: Gotta wonder if Logan is jealous he doesn't get the US Title shot. And for those of you wondering, the US Title will, as a rule, ONLY be defended in the United States. As you may or may not know, in WCF's off-time the WCF World Title was defended all across the globe, especially in Japan, so they're very different Titles.

Shannan Lerch: And we saw earlier, Logan passed out entering the building! Surely a heinous attack by Thunder or Brad Kane.

Zach Davis: That said, let's go backstage and check on Logan.

Logan/Gravedigger Segment

The cameras open up backstage once again, this time focusing on WCF's main office door. Someone is furiously standing outside it with clinched fist, Logan.

Logan: Gravedigger!

He attempts to kick the door open, his foot bounces off the door and he immediately falls backwards. Someone inside hears the ruckus and instructs him to come in. Getting back to his feet, Logan opens the door stepping into the office. His eyes meet Gravedigger's. Whether Gravedigger is there in the office for paper work purposes is questionable, but he's in the room, and now with Logan. The two last met battling for a world championship, tension was still thick.

Gravedigger: Logan.

Logan: Gravedigger.

A brief moment of silence fills the air, they take the time to acknowledge each others presence, and soak in one another's dirty glares.

Logan: I like you about as much as a hotdog likes ketchup.

Gravedigger: What... ?

Logan: Ketchup on hotdog's is wrong!

Gravedigger: Oh. You're entitled to you're own opinion, of course.

Pausing a moment, Logan collects himself.

Logan: What's the deal with the parking? I had to park a mile away from the building, the front parking spots were filled with golf carts with little pink flags that read "Gravedigger".

Gravedigger: Very good reason behind that too, with WCF's money, I bought fifty golf carts, and decided to park them in a good eyes range. I'd hate for anyone to steal them.

The enraged overweight star starts to speak but instead exits the room shaking his head.

Gravedigger: And while the camera is in here, I'll speak my piece for tonight. You may think I moved Slam to Monday nights in order to set it up for failure, but this is clearly not the case. To back that up, I've installed a brand new entrance way! That really shows how much I care about WCF. This is state of the art, million dollar technology here. I will spare no expense for this show, because I just love WCF so much! And I know when wrestling fans tune in, they tune in for a fancy entry ramp. Just wait until Logan's match to see it in action. Speaking of, that should be coming up... right now. Monkeys in the back, take it to the ring.

Thunder vs Logan vs Brad Kane

The house lights go out in the arena as the opening of "Eye of the Storm" by Killswitch Engage flares up. Strobe lights begin to go insane when the vocals blare out of the sound system as Brad Kane, PWA World Light Heavyweight Championship strapped around his waist as he appears in the entry way. The crowd cheers seeing them as Brad inhales before he makes his way down the ring. A few hands get slapped but not many as once Brad is at ringside, he hops up on the ring apron. The lights are back to normal as they enter the ring as he heads to the nearest turnbuckle and goes up to the middle buckle. He takes the World Light Heavyweight Title off of his waist, holding it up into the air as he looks out into the crowd. Some take pictures as he steps down, inhaling once more as he does the same thing on the other side of the ring. He then backs into the corner as hands the Light Heavyweight Title to the ref. Brad then waits for the match to begin as his entrance song fades off.

Shannan Lerch: What the heck is doing with that title?

"Money" by Pink Floyd begins to play. As the cash register sound ends and the music begins, Thunder walks towards the ring. He reaches the apron and climbs the turnbuckle, taunting the fans.

Zach Davis: This man beat Logan in a little over two minutes last week. Two years ago that might've been a great accomplishment, but now.. I even like MY chances tying up with the belly of treachery.

Five Finger Death Punch "The Bleeding" sparks out, Mr. WCF emerges from the behind the black curtain engulfed by a mixed reaction from the crowd. Aside from a black shirt that reads "tac-team.webs.com" he sports his regular in ring attire, also, he has a handful of Logan DVD's tucked in his back shorts.

Shannan Lerch: Logan doing his part to advertise the blue collar man.

Logan proceeds to walk down the ramp, but notices the entry ramp now moves by itself, ala Gravedigger's new entry ramp technology, recently installed to reduce WCF's profits. It's not a bad idea. Logan takes advantage of this, stepping on the walk free machine that moves his bulky figure towards the ring.

Zach Davis: You've got to be kiddin' me.

The escalator comes to a abrupt stop sending Logan tumbling forward, he loses his balance, his body crashing to ringside. Picking himself up, he brushes off, and poses for hopeful concerned crowd. He isn't quite ready to step inside the ring just yet though, he walks himself around the guard rail, interacting with crowd members, pulling the stack of DVD's from his shorts, and handing them to fans in exchange for money which he also stuffs in shorts.

Shannan Lerch: He's making a killing!

Not finished with his antics, after selling off the DVD's, he grabs a microphone from a ring side official, and takes off his advertised shirt flashing it in front of the camera.

Logan: That's.. tac-team.webs.com. So, SHUT UP!

Cheap pop.

Logan: And check them out.

Dropping the microphone, he climbs into the ring, and the bell sounds. Thunder stares down Brad, Brad stares down Logan, Logan stares down a crowd member eating a hotdog.

Shannan Lerch: Logan is so focused.

Following this, Logan exits the ring, and in a trance like state approaches the fan. Thunder and Brad Kane blink, the referee begins counting Logan out. Brad Kane sets the recent event aside tying up with Thunder, the two exchange in a decent display of wrestling grapples, either one not really gaining the upper hand. Mean while, Logan is nearly counted out.

6...

7...

Logan manages to snap back into reality, quickly sliding back into the ring.

Zach Davis: Who would win if Logan was counted out? Considering this isn't elimination?

But it is elimination, damnit. Brad and Thunder exchange lefts and rights, Logan watches on doing a few stretches and squats preparing himself for a encounter. A hotdog mascot explodes from the back fleeing down the ramp.

Zach Davis: Who the hell is that dressed in a hotdog suit?!

On que, Logan exits the ring, grabbing a chair from underneath, and hops back in. The referee is pretty occupied with the mascot. Logan leaps forward landing a chair shot on Brad's noggin, however, the chair bounces back and knocks Logan down as well.

Shannan Lerch: GO LOGAN! Oh.. wait..

Thunder throws the chair out of the ring and flops down covering both of them at the same time, the mascot eases distraction by slipping off the apron falling over, and the referee turns around to count the pin.

One.

Two.

Three.

Climbing to his feet, Thunder raises his arm victorious having just defeated Brad Kane and Logan. He exits the ring, and heads up ramp.

Zach Davis: What's the deal with that hotdog?!

Shannan Lerch: Oh, Logan.

Chester and Dobbie vs Prince Jimmy Dean and Chad Evans

"Changes" by the Deftones plays as Chester and Dobbie walk out from the back, looking all business. They walk to the ring, slide in, and await their opponents.

The lights go off and Jerry "The King" Lawler's music starts playing. A single spotlight shines on a vacant archway and Prince Jimmy Dean is majestically pulled out on a golden carriage by two white horses. The crowd is silent in awe at the grandeur of the entrance. Prince Jimmy Dean is pulled around the ring while the crowd silently looks upon his carriage in awe. He slowly gets out of the chariot and gracefully walks into the ring and stands in the center as the single spotlight shines on him. The light goes off and he waits for his opponent to approach.

The lights in the WCF Arena go dim. The sound of a harsh wind blowing can be heard over the PA System. The Slamatron video screen in the arena shows the image of a large, leafless branch of a tree twisting in the wind. The image slowly zooms out and we see a giant fire spreading through the land near the tree, the tree itself is soon overcome as the strong wind gusts blow the flames further out of control.

The image zooms out further and we see the remains of what appears to have been a once thriving village now in a large pile of rubble on the ground, the sound of fire raging and debris crackling melds to form a cacophony along with the howling of the wind. The video screen switches to an overhead shot of the barren, desolate wasteland being consumed by flame, and the words "Tenuous", "Impetuous" and "Subservient" flash on the screen in bold red type.

After a few moments the scene of the fiery wasteland fades into an image of the sun shining brightly in a clear blue sky. The camera zooms out and we see the image of a dragon flying toward the sun. The words "Embolden", "Enlighten" and "Illuminate" appear on the screen in dark blue type.

Suddenly the video screen goes black while a yellow strobe light fills the arena, the opening strains of "Illumination" by Rollins Band can be heard over the PA System. After a few moments Chad Evans appears at the entrance way draped in his orange robe. Evans stands motionless at the top of the entrance ramp. When the song picks up and the chorus hits, flames rise up from the floor, forming a circle around Evans. After the chorus ends, followed by a sweet guitar solo, the song gets quieter and the flames disappear.

Evans walks slowly down to ringside, expressionless, ignoring the fans, with his eyes locked on the ring. When he reaches the ring, Evans leaps onto the apron and flips forward over the top rope. In one swift motion Evans disrobes and hands the robe to a ringside attendant. Evans jumps up and down and does some quick stretches to warm up, then stands patiently in his corner with a focused expression on his face.

Zach Davis: Prince Jimmy Dean and Chad Evans have got a bit of a rivalry going on-

But their rivalry isn't what is on their minds as they spring into action, taking Chester and Dobbie by surprise! Dean and Evans tackle Chester and Dobbie, respectively, and start raining fists down.

Shannan Lerch: What a start! WCF is finally fighting back in this war against the Dark Side.

Eventually Evans throws Dobbie out of the ring, leaving Dean and Chester. There is a nearfall when Dean hits a big Powerslam, but Chester manages to kick out. Chester eventually hits a low blow while the ref isn't looking, and tags in Dobbie. Dobbie uses this opportunity to get the upper hand on Dean. Dobbie works him over with some holds for a bit before tagging Chester back in. Chester then uses his power, hitting some big time moves on Dean and going for pins, but Dean always kicking out or Evans always breaking it up. Eventually Chester gets Dean in a sleeperhold, and the fans start willing Dean to make the tag. Eventually Dean jabs Chester in the ribs, throws him to the ropes and hits a Clothesline, and tags in Evans!

Zach Davis: Evans really has a head of steam here!

And indeed he does! Chester is up, Evans knocks him down. Dobbie gets in the ring, Evans Clotheslines him out. Chester is back up, runs at Evans, but Evans picks him up and hits the BK Killer! He makes a pin...

One!

Two!

Three!

Shannan Lerch: I don't believe it! Dean and Evans get the victory!

Mike D and Jayson Stasiak come out from the back, looking incredulous, not believing what just happened. Evans rolls out of the ring and heads to the back, as does Evans, while Stasiak and Mike D argue a bit with Dobbie and Chester.

Zach Davis: WCF wins the first physical battle in this war, I'd say.

Corey Black vs Torture

The crowd is roaring in anticipation of the main event, and the cage starts to lower ... but it stops.

Zach Davis: What the?

Jamais Vu by Dredg hits the airwaves! Torture steps to the stage, and the crowd goes absolutely nuts! He walks down towards the ring, and the stage displays a large firework display! Torture throws his arms up in the air along with the crowd and points his thumbs back towards his chest. MIST-ER-COOL! the crowd chants along with Torture. He slides into the ring and looks up to the haulted steel cage, smiling.

Shannan Lerch: I don't understand this. The cage is still hanging overhead, but the participants are entering the ring?

No theatrics. No lights going out, nothing. Machine Head's cover of "Hallowed Be Thy Name" by Iron Maiden hits the PA system. With every bell toll, the lights flash brighter. When Robb Flynn comes in singing, the crowd sings along. "I'm waiting in my cold cell, when the bell begins to chime. Reflecting on my past life, and it doesn't have much time. Because at five o'clock, they take me to the gallows pole. The sands of time, for me, are running looooow!" One minute and eight seconds in, when the guitar hits, Corey Black comes through the curtain and onto the stage, wearing the Creeping Death mask and a black wig that resembles his former hair, along with a black hoodie with the hood up. Black stops on the stage and takes in the reaction from the crowd, looking out to them from behind the mask. Corey walks down to the ring, not veering from a straight shot into the squared circle. Corey slides in under the bottom rope and gets up, throwing the devil horns as he stands, to which the crowd does back. Corey pulls his hood down and removes the wig and Creeping Death mask, once again looking out and getting a reaction. Black takes off the hoodie and drops all the items on the apron, then walks right up to Torture's face. The crowd's roar is even bigger than before.

Zach Davis: Lower this cage and let's g-

Out of nowhere, the two men in the ring begin brawling. Punches and kicks fly from them both, connecting with every part of each other's body. Furious action, and the crowd eats it all up. Blow after blow, non-stop.

Shannan Lerch: Well the cage match without a cage is under way!

Without warning, Torture and Corey stop, once again standing face to face. They both run to opposite sides of the ring and slide out, look underneath, and pull out a weapon. Torture grabs a steel chair, and Black grabs a big ladder.

Zach Davis: That ladder has to be, like, twenty feet!

Shannan Lerch: Oh. God. Damnit.

Indeed, Corey Black has pulled out 'Damien.' Torture and Corey slide into the ring with their weapons, and once again stand face to face as the cage finally returns to it's descent. The flashbulbs go off like machine guns as Torture stands face to face with Corey Black, steel chair in Torture's hands, ladder in Corey Black's hands, and a steel cage enclosing them.

Zach Davis: That ladder is probably longer than the ring itself!

The cage is secured in place once Tort and Corey drop their weapons, and after WCF officials move the ladder so it's going diagnal. The bell rings, and they start brawling again. Same as before, but with the cage around them and their weapons of choice inside.

Shannan Lerch: I don't understand these two. Last week they kill each other, this week they go right back to it, when Gravedigger is the one manipulating the scene!

Torture drops to his knees after a kick to the side of the leg from Black, but hits Black right in the balls with a left jab. That puts an end to Black's assault, as he too drops to his knees. Torture throws a right cross, knocking Corey to the mat. Tort stands up, and brings Corey up with him, before throwing Black over the top rope in a flip, crashing into the cage and falling to the mat on his head.

Zach Davis: That's the nature of the cage match. Brutality.

Torture kicks at Black's head before attempting to climb the cage! Torture climbs right over top of Black, who reaches up and holds Tort's ankle. Black stands and pulls Torture down between the cage and ropes. Corey takes Torture's head, jumps over the top rope, and hits a Stunner like motion with the rope, sending Torture recoiling back into the cage!

Shannan Lerch: God I hate CD.

Torture slumps down to a sitting position. Black hits the other side ropes and comes back with a BIG facewash boot! Corey almost kicks the cage down, it was that much force. Corey grabs the ladder, and sets it up near the opposite side of the cage.

Zach Davis: That might have been a good time to climb out..

In the time it took Black to set up the ladder that is five feet taller than the cage, Torture has kind of recovered. Black goes over to him and eats a face full of fist. Torture reenters the ring and drops Black with a dropkick, and then a leg drop. Torture takes the chair and literally bends it around Corey's body! Torture slams the chair down into Black's side again. And again. Relentlessly. Finally Torture has himself so pumped up, he launches the chair at the side of the cage, making a loud ting sound. Black is broken in the ring. Torture checks his head for blood, and then begins climbing the ladder Black had set up.

Shannan Lerch: It's obviously not about winning anymore for these guys.

Torture gets to the point where he's eye level with the top of the cage, and looks down. Torture drops off the ladder onto Corey Black with a massive frog splash!

Zach Davis: ICE COLD!

Shannan Lerch: That sure was! CD is dead.

Torture hurt himself on the fall though, as he's holding his left knee. After the impact, the men tend to their wounds, and Torture tries to get up and out of the cage, but he's slow with his busted knee. Slow enough to when he's at the top of the cage, Black has the ladder in hand. Corey tips the ladder over and it comes crashing down onto Torture, knocking him back down to the mat! Corey points to his head, as if he had that planned out.

Shannan Lerch: Dumb luck.

Black, still clutching his ribs, walks over to Torture and pulls him to a corner. Black stands Tort up and puts him on the top rope, but Torture punches Black down and jumps to the cage. Black grabs the ladder and brings it over to where Torture is, leaning it up against the cage. Torture tries to knock it over, but Black has his ankle. Tort fights him off, forcing Black to climb up too. Corey barely gets to Torture at the top of the cage. The very top. Sitting on the scaffold part, exchanging blows. Black throws an elbow that almost knocks Torture to the floor. Corey reaches over tha grabs the ladder, pulling it up with all he has.

Zach Davis: What the hell is this?

Corey pulls the ladder up to him, and lays it across the top of the cage part he is on, and the far connecting wall, creating a scaffold across a corner of the ring.

Shannan Lerch: Mother...

Torture gains his wits and sees what Black has done. He quickly tries to escape, but realizes Black is right there. The two men slowly stand up, and keep on trading blows. Torture throws a wild haymaker, knocking Black down ... onto the ladder! Torture follows him out to the middle and picks Black up.

Zach Davis: There are two men, fifteen feet in the air, balancing on a ladder bridge! Stupidity!

Torture turns Black and hooks him in the Torture's Device, pointing down at the mat below!

Shannan Lerch: Don't do it!

Black fights out with punches to the rib cage, turns, leaps, and takes Torture down to the mat with a hurricanrana from fifteen feet in the air! The crowd explodes! Torture lands flush on his shoulders, taking the brunt of the fall, and Black lands on his side.

Zach Davis: THEY'RE DEAD!

The ref looks around, unsure what to do. Neither man is moving. He starts counting.

One.

Two.

Shannan Lerch: No, not again.

Three.

Four.

Zach Davis: Not like this...

Five.

Six.

Seven.

Eight.

Shannan Lerch: Corey Black is stirring! He's trying to get up...

Nine...

Ten.

Zach Davis: Not in time! The ref has no choice, the match is.. again.. a draw.

And suddenly, "Change" by Deftones hits the speakers. Out from the back walks Chester and Dobbie carrying chairs. Not far behind him are Mike D, Jayson, and then Jessie and Gravedigger walk out together. Gravedigger has a mic. The music fades as Gravedigger lifts the mic to his lips.

Gravedigger: Bravo, bravo. Good job you two morons. All kidding aside, you probably just caused the ratings to blow through the roof and gave this pitiful excuse for a wrestling federation a little more life left in it's old, ragged body.

Gravedigger spits on the ground.

Gravedigger: You both look a little beat up, a little tired. A little worn out. I mean who wouldn't be after a cage match? I'm out here for three reasons. The first reason is to make a match for next week. I'm going to take a big risk here and could accidentally cause us to have the best ratings WCF has ever seen in its history. What match could that be? That match next week will be a gauntlet match.

The men involved in the gauntlet match will be five randomly chosen men on the roster. Let me see...who could face those five men?

Gravedigger points at Tort and CD, who are only beginning to get on their feet, as he says this next line.

Gravedigger: Eeny, meeny, miney....MO!

Gravedigger is pointing at himself.

Gravedigger: Yes...ME! I will take on five of the finest superstars WCF has on its roster, even if they're already in a match next week. So, the second thing I'm out here for is to make a second match next week. Next week's main event, because my match being the main event would cause ratings to soar, will be a tag match. In one corner will be the team of Dobbie and Chester....who BETTER NOT lose their match next week unlike the embarrassing match I saw tonight.

Chester and Dobbie start pointing at each other making excuses, blaming the other.

Gravedigger: Shut up! In the other corner will be the two of you!

The crowd erupts with cheers and excitement. Gravedigger signals for them to quiet down.

Gravedigger: Quiet down you stupid scum-sucking leeches. How the hell can you be cheering this? Who the hell is making the match for crying out loud? Do you think by now I'd make it just an ordinary match?

Torture and Corey Black are propped up against the ropes and look up at Gravedigger with confused looks. Gravedigger grins at the two of them.

Gravedigger: No, no, no, there will be special stipulations in this match. In this match, the only physical contact you two are allowed with each other is tagging each other into and out of the match.

The crowd starts booing and Gravedigger laughs.

Gravedigger: I'm not done yet! The consequences for breaking this stipulation will piss you off even more. If you two lay a hand on each other, you will officially lose your shots at the world title! Since our match at Rebirth is a triple threat match, that means if you two lay hands on each other and lose your shots, I will automatically be crowned the new WCF CHAMPION!

The crowd starts booing even louder. Gravedigger soaks in the jeers from the crowd and enjoys the angry looks on the faces of Torture and Corey Black. The crowd eventually gets quiet and Gravedigger continues.

Gravedigger: Now, there was one other reason why I'm out here. Guys...GET THEM!

Mike D, Chester, and Dobbie all three run down the ramp as Corey Black and Torture start pulling themselves up. Chester opens the cage door and climbs in quickly with Dobbie. Chester and Dobbie run at the two men with their chairs. The crowd erupts with cheers as Corey and Torture both duck chair swings by Chester and Dobbie. They both turn around and perform dropkicks, hitting Dobbie and Chester with their own chairs. Mike D is in the ring by this point and grabs Torture. Mike D runs him across the ring and throws him up against the side of the cage.

Shannan Lerch: I don't normally support the Dark Side, but if it involves beating up Creeping Death...

Mike D turns around into a dropkick by Corey Black, which sends him staggering back into the cage. He falls and gets his arms twisted up in the ropes and is hung there. The crowd goes crazy as Corey Black picks up a chair with a smile. Gravedigger climbs into the ring behind him. Corey points to the chair in his hands in front of him. Just as he's getting ready to swing it, Gravedigger grabs the chair to Corey's surprise. Gravedigger tosses the chair down as Corey turns around. Gravedigger gives him a boot and lifts him up onto his shoulder and sits down hitting the Death Driver. Corey is out.

Zach Davis: Torture and Black just fought a hellacious match... this is sick.

Torture is finally back up and grabs one of the chairs. The crowd starts going crazy as Torture stands behind Gravedigger waiting for him to get up. Gravedigger looks at the crowd confused as to why they'd be cheering. Suddenly, Gravedigger hears someone get hit behind him and he quickly turns around Torture is on the ground with a chair, Jayson Stasiak is standing over him with a kendo stick. The crowd starts booing as Gravedigger picks Torture up off of the mat and hits him with a Death Driver, too.

Shannan Lerch: We're out of time. We'll see you next week.

The show fades to black with Gravedigger motioning the title belt around his waist.
